UPDATE: Giving one star because now you have to pay to sing most songs now. Deleting this app ASAP. What a joke! Its a fun app if you like to karaoke. But if you download this app hoping to be discovered youre wasting your time because this app is swimming with bots that leave fake comments and send fake gifts. Also they become your "followers" I have like one real follower and the rest are bots, lol. UPDATE: These fake accounts are clearly made by the app creator(s) to encourage people to keep using the app... Reporting the fakes would be a waste of time.

Whhy??? I havent been on StarMaker for awhile and when I do get back on most of the songs are VIP, the songs that I had bought in the older versions are gone and half of those songs are VIP, my VIP is gone, and now I can can only sing really crappy songs that I dont like!!! I WANT THE OLD STARMAKER BACK!!

I’ve been using this app for about a year now and I recommend if you do use this app to not pay much attention to the people liking and commenting on your videos because they are all bots. The app has great quality overall but now over half the songs you half to pay to sing. If i wanted to pay to sing I wouldn’t have come to this app in the first place.

I love the app until the updates I was on when the app was first starting and they told me if I wrote a review I’d get a free vip. But when the app updated they took my vip away and I’ve had it since I started on starmaker. Another thing is that being a vip for paying is expensive as h*ll! You seriously have to pay 16.99 a month and for 6 months 59.99 and just for one week it’s 6.99 just for a “free trial” and a week after that! I really liked this app, no I loved the app. It’s so much better than “simule sing!” and I really don’t want to have to find a different app, Because I’ve gotten over 800 followers and that’s the most I’ve ever gotten in a singing app?

It’s good quality yes, but it was nicer when everything was free. This is better than smule sing when it comes to free singing without paying tons of money altogether tho. I got verified which I’m happy with ? But I’m confused as to which of these people are actually real. The numbers are all mostly mutual with all of them. If they don’t have songs, I don’t trust them. I find it absurd that 500k people use this tho. That’s why I believe it can be fake at some point. Edit: Yes I’ve checked from other people’s reviews that the people are in fact. And they are all separate voices on accounts with 3-4 songs. Why do you do that? Where’s the fun in having legitimate people who like your singing. Not just some bots. Bots’ songs prerecorded and probably stolen from other singers. I don’t appreciate it. Most of the comments are alike because they’re FAKE accounts being programmed to like and comment. I also think you should allow verified singers to host parties. I’d like a legit answer over why there are bots and less actual people. Please refrain from your copy and pasted answer. Thank you.

This was my favorite karaoke app. I loved that all the songs were free but now that there’s vip is not a much fun. All of my favorite songs that I’ve been singing are now vip leaving me nothing to sing without paying. It’s unfair to the people who can’t pay and have been using this app for a long time and now they can’t sing popular songs because of the vip.

I’ve had this app for 4-5 years and in always enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun singing. It’s changed a lot, sometimes they were Good changes, there were things that I didn’t like. But it didn’t matter because I could still sing most of the songs I liked. However, I logged in today after not using the app for weeks, only to find that could sing very few songs, most that I didn’t even like. Almost all the songs are VIP now, and that’s just really upsetting and annoying, because I didn’t have money to pay for that, and I’ve been using this for such a long time. I really liked starmaker, because it was fun to do karaoke with you favorite songs and change you voice and just have fun with it. And now I can’t, and am very frustrated.

I see people are able to pay $7.00 a month for the subscription. Why can I not get it too? It only says $17.00 a month for me.

Love this app and definitely recommend for anyone who loves singing and listening to songs. Wonderful app that allows me to pursue my hobby and I realized it is a great stress buster for me as well??

This was the top app, my favorite to use because my mic worked perfectly with it and the music was all free and that stood out to me above all others. Then suddenly one day I went to sing the same songs I’ve been singing and I can’t anymore because now I’m required to be VIP to sing them. I get it, funding needs to happen somehow but at the same time there are people who sing on here that aren’t even old enough to use a credit card and then people who have used this for years and suddenly have to delete it because of payment problems. Huge disappointment but I will be back if there are any good changes, lol.

I was using the app a couple months ago cause I was told that a producer or some sort said that they saw my covers on YouTube and that I should join the app so I did but a couple months later I was verified and had over 50k fans and every time I would try to make a new video I was told that I am had to pay in order to keep singing! I was never notified by the lady that I should pay! I was so upset cause I couldn’t keep singing! I’m only a 14 year old trying to pursue my dreams of becoming a singer but turns out the app didn’t really help me out but now I’m going to stick to YouTube and try to at least make my dreams come true there!! I would suggest not using this app!

I wish you could do all the songs instead of collabing other than that it’s great and I recommend it for people that like singing and duets

Honestly, I like to use this app with singing. Its not quality annoying me, but everyone who comments on it just seems very fake and never give any constructive criticism. If I could, I WOULD slap them. Because they confuse me and I’m not sure if they even really exist?

I don’t want this app anymore but I can’t find how to delete it. It’s crap ! Just delete me please.

I can always record songs whenever i want but when it comes to joining parties i seem to have very bad connectivity issues... what can i do to fix it???

This is crazy. How in the world is this app going to charge people $17 a month just to use it? It is dumb. I basically left a perfectly good app like Smule to come to this app and see a huge price get tagged along for StarMaker.

I don’t want to do the VIP, I can’t find where to cancel it , before they charge me again!!

I used Smule (Sing! karaoke) until I found this app, now I use this one almost exclusively. Pros: 1. Free to record solo songs 2. USB mic support. This is huge. It allows me to use my Yeti Pro. (Those first two pros make it better than my last fav karaoke app!) 3. Great song selection 4. Good voice filters Cons: 1. Maybe some fake accounts? I don’t know if they are, but I’m suspicious that 99% of the profiles I look at have exactly 2 recordings. Why? 2. Some songs are really bad recordings. Like, you can hear the original vocals muffled in the background, or the lyrics don’t scroll correctly. 3. All of my songs top out at 90-100 plays. All of them. Are they only posted until they hit that point, for non-premium account holders? Or, is it a coincidence? Regardless, the pros well outweigh the cons, so if you like to sing just get the app.
